Lashell Carrick

Employee Spotlight:

Lashell Carrick was born and raised in Texas before moving to California and completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Finance from California State University Bakersfield.  Lashell has 22 years of commercial banking experience in underwriting, SBA lending and commercial lending.

Lashell is very passionate about Junior Achievement and sits on the JA Vancouver Advisory Council.  She also teaches JA classes to elementary age school children. These classes help prepare young people for success in the global economy by focusing on the economics of life, work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

In addition to keeping up with her two small children, Lashell's hobbies include running, tennis, physical fitness, golf, and gardening.

If you were to start your own small business, what would it be? 

I would start a resort-spa for those people who want to temporarily get away from reality and have the opportunity to totally relax. The premises would be lavish with calming waterfalls and beautiful gardens. The rooms would be plush and soundproof for a peaceful nights sleep.  All of the typical spa services would be available as well as a fabulous restaurant. It would be an all inclusive resort, so no one had to worry about money once they arrived.

What do you like most about working for Evergreen? 

Because I was in commercial banking for the past 22 years, I love the fact that I still get to work with bankers and help their clients find ways finance their fixed assets with ease. This also enables the client to maintain capital they would have had to otherwise put into the project under a conventional loan. To me it is a win-win!
