I really enjoy making things with my hands. I have experience in metal-smithing and sculpture so my business would utilize my skills in the manufacture of jewelry, metal decorative elements and functional metal-art pieces such as drawer-pulls, finials and kitchen utensils.
However, crafts are a hard-sell and the profits are often quite minimal. I also have many years of experience as a pastry chef and have always thought that a good, inexpensive start-up would be making specialty dough (such as Danish and croissant) that could be frozen and sold to restaurants who could then form and bake them as their own. All one would need is a large freezer, large refrigerator, mixer, sheet-roller, triple sink, baker's bench and a space with running water large enough to hold all the equipment.
I really like all the people who work here. The company is small enough that it is sort of like a large family. We respect each other. We trust that each of us is doing our best in our role to insure a smooth process for our clients and for each other.
"Always pleasant, helpful and professional."
"Matt is the voice you hear when calling into our office. He is helpful and informative and will help get you to the right place. He is a man of many talents and the glue that keeps the office running."
"He is great to work with! He not only directs incoming calls to the right place, he is very supportive in other areas of the company and can be counted on if needed."
"Matt does all the things behind the scenes that keep things moving smoothly. If Matt does his job perfectly no one will notice, but if he's out of the office and not around to do his job, everyone suddenly notices."
