Wendy joins Evergreen after more than 20 years in construction/commercial real estate lending in the South Sound region.

What brought you to Evergreen?

After the past few years of negative economic impacts and restrictions in conventional commercial lending, I am pleased to participate in the SBA 504 program. It is refreshing to return to lending practices that are designed to promote small business expansion and growth throughout our local communities. We offer financial solutions to our lending partners and actively contribute to restoring economic growth throughout our four-state region. I am proud to be associated with the expertise, professionalism and exceptional service provided by Evergreen, and proud to work for the northwest's leading CDC lender.

If you were to start your own small business, what would it be?

I would either buy a public golf course in a rural community or ownership in a minor league baseball franchise. These are two of my favorite pastimes and I would focus on Community Relations development. Golf is drawing a new audience from the younger generation and minor league baseball offers affordable family entertainment. I am inspired by businesses that promote positive community involvement through recreational activity - and I love the sportswear!
